DR ANDRE SCHERTEL

Dr. Andre Schertel is a highly qualified and experienced general dentist, originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
He received his dental degree in 2001 from his hometown and has been dedicated to providing exceptional dental care ever since.

In addition to his general dentistry training, Dr. Andre has pursued further education and training in specialized areas of dentistry. In 2003, he completed post-graduate studies in Restorative and Cosmetic dentistry, gaining invaluable knowledge and expertise.

His passion for oral health and dedication to providing the best possible care for his patients led him to pursue a Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry, focusing on Oral Implants, at the prestigious University of Melbourne in 2011.

Dr Andre’s journey into Dental Sleep Medicine started when he was diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. After a disappointing and unsuccessful trial of a CPAP machine, he learned about the Mandibular Advancement Splint during a continuing education lecture.

Since then, after having great success with the appliance, he has become a passionate advocate of the MAS for the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea. He has completed many additional hours of continuing education in Australia and Overseas and delivered hundreds of these appliances over the years to many happy patients (and their partners!)
Dr Andre is a member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australasian Sleep Association, the International Team for Implantology and the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry.
